Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art, "The Light of Art" international public art exhibition prologue

The first International Annual Public Art Exhibition, Golden Autumn, kicked off at the Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition is divided into indoor and outdoor sections. The outdoor section is mainly composed of large-scale sculpture and public art, while the indoor section is mainly composed of sculpture, installation and video art. The exhibition brings together more than 40 outstanding artists and their representative works in the field of contemporary art, including Qi Zhilong, Chen Wenling, Shen Jingdong, Jia Wei KK, Hans (Switzerland), Qin Chong, Liu Yonggang, Pang Shaoxian, Xu E and Su Yongjian. The opening ceremony is hosted by the artist Qin Feng. With the help of this public art exhibition, a public art park will be built around the indoor and outdoor Spaces of the Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art, and it will become an important art gathering place in Tongzhou and even Beijing. Connecting art, the public and the field into one, producing cultural radiation and catalyst, its importance is becoming increasingly prominent, and it is a high-quality green cultural resource and a sustainable strategic resource. At the same time, public art creates multiple opportunities, forms a cultural atmosphere, spreads, owns and becomes a part of artistic life, and possesses artistic character, thinking and wisdom. This is the ultimate value and mission of public art. The "Light of Art" exhibition also shares this vision and hope.

2023 The first annual International Public Art Exhibition

Explore the historical value of public art, religion, philosophy and science, and the aesthetics of society from the perspective of the creator. Walking through the time tunnel into the future, it vividly recounts the development of human civilization and historical changes, records and presents the texture of regional civilization like an epic and vivid, beliefs and desires weave a grand social dream, and arts and humanities state and recreate myths.

From the pyramids to the Babylonian Temple, from Lucy (human grandmother) to us today, looking up at the stars, practitioners, and wisdom depict the landscape of human civilization.

The social form and humanistic atmosphere divided by the form of city, village, temple and hall are reproduced and recorded by art, imperceptibly influencing the social form and spiritual character. Every node of iteration and change is filled with artists, who optimistically enlarge the landscape of urban civilization and human beliefs, every piece of stained glass in buildings, sculptures, temples and halls. About Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art:

Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art is located at 500 Daxing Zhuang International Art Tourism Park, Songzhuang, Beijing. The park has nearly 200 mu of creative and activity space and quiet natural environment. Founded by artist Qin Feng, since its establishment in 2006, the museum has been committed to the exchange and promotion of contemporary art, and systematically and extensively combing the status quo of contemporary art.
