Hu Xingshu, born in 1956, is from Cili, Hunan. Currently, he is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Hunan Artists Association, a member of the Hunan Ceramic Artists Association, a council member of the Changsha Flower-and-Bird Painters Association, a member of the administrative committee of the Hunan Xiangjiang Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, an art consultant of the Hunan Xiangyun Danqing Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, an honorary president of the Zhangjiajie Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a council member of the Inner Mongolia Zhenglanqi Artists Association, a member of the New Culture Group of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, a member of the Chinese Couplets Society, a council member of the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and a national gift artist. He is also the vice president of the World Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Institute and the vice chairman of the Central Radio and Television International Cooperation and Development Center.
